Estate Cabernet Sauvignon Handcrafted from a singular site, where patience, precision and place define every bottle.

From a rugged hillside in Knights Valley, Linked Vineyards produces limited quantities of Cabernet Sauvignon shaped by volcanic soils, elevation and an unwavering commitment to doing things by hand, every step of the way.

From the outset, our site in Knights Valley revealed both its beauty and its demands. Steep terrain, rocky volcanic soils and an elevation of nearly 1,200 feet create an environment where nothing comes easily, and that is precisely the point.

Yields are naturally limited, growth is restrained and each cluster must fight to reach full ripeness. In that struggle, the fruit develops intensity, structure and character. It is the tension between challenge and reward that defines the vineyard, and ultimately, the wines themselves.

In the beginning, the vision was simple, farm with intention, respect the land and allow the vineyard to dictate the outcome. Every decision in the vineyard is made with respect to what is happening at that time, and every action is made by hand. From meticulous canopy management to careful cluster thinning, we ensure that each vine carries only what it can fully support. Harvest comes late, often the last in the region, allowing the fruit to develop slowly and completely, building layers of complexity while maintaining natural balance. The fruit is hand-picked into small boxes and shipped to the winery in refrigerated trucks.

In the cellar, the philosophy remains the same. The chilled fruit is sorted multiple times, with the final pass being a berry-by-berry hand sort. A gentle hand or foot crushing, followed by a short cold-soak, and the grapes are ready for fermentation with yeast native to our site. These practices allow the wine to evolve with little manipulation, guided through time under careful observation. The wine is aged for sixteen months in artisan French oak, then bottled unfined and unfiltered, preserving its integrity from vineyard to glass.

This is not a process driven by efficiency, but by intention. Each step is considered, each decision measured, always in service of revealing the truest expression of the site. Production remains intentionally small, focused on a single estate Cabernet Sauvignon crafted from the most compelling areas of the vineyard. The result is a wine that carries both power and precision, layered with dark fruit, subtle earth and a quiet intensity that unfolds over time. It is a reflection of where it is grown, shaped by a place that demands patience and rewards those willing to listen.

Words can only go so far. The best way to understand this wine is to open a bottle and experience it yourself. You’ll discover why this is such a special expression of Knights Valley, crafted by people who take genuine joy in its creation. Each bottle is hand-numbered and registered to you, creating a lasting connection: from Linked Vineyards to you, and from you back to Linked.

Vintage Notes

"Every decision we make, from the vineyard to the cellar, is about honoring the fruit and the place it comes from. The wine already knows what it wants to be, we simply guide it there."
